February Guest Speaker:
Sr Director, Leadership & Organization Effectiveness
After an undergraduate degree in Communications/Broadcasting, Kari began her career in broadcast journalism and sales. Early in her career, she was pretty fearless and enjoyed the challenge of getting a story or a sale. She never really intended to work in Human Resources, but, through God’s providence, landed in this field more than 15 years ago “…and it’s been a great fit.” She worked in a variety of industries, including Financial Services, Health Care and Food Manufacturing and played a variety of leadership roles in HR. Most recently she has been leading an HR function at The Schwan Food Company called Organization Effectiveness focused on developing our organization and talent.
While She has been a Christian for most of her life, God began a significant ‘heart change’ in her about 4 years ago and it has changed how she views her job and how she works. "Work is a gift from God to us and He places us where he wants us for a specific purpose."
