Chopped Jr. Chef Challenge
Join us for the 1st Chopped Jr. Chef Challenge hosted by Concordia High FFA and Sadernation /4-H in Tomball. This contest is a test of food preparation skills and food nutrition knowledge to create a recipe from a mystery bag of ingredients in just 40 minutes. From preparation to presentation youth will demonstrate abilities public speaking and teamwork to impress the judges with their culinary skills.
This "Chopped" food challenge event is open to participants form 4-H Club, FFA, and FCCLA members from the surrounding counties. Purchase one ticket per team. Please be sure to complete one paper registration form per team and email the document to firstname.lastname@example.org. This document provides the names of each team member and grade level.
1. Participation. Participants must be 4-H members currently enrolled in a Texas 4-H and Youth Development Harris County program, FCCLA students or FFA members.
2. Age. Age divisions are determined by a participant’s grade level as of the current year.
Junior / Intermediate: Grade levels 3rd to 8 Youth must be at least 8 years of age in in the 3rd grade to compete as of September 1, 2016
Senior Division: 9th to 12th grade level or 14 to 18 years old
3. Members per team. Each team will have at least three and no more than five members. Teams may include a combination of members from the Junior and Intermediate age divisions; however the combined team must compete in the Intermediate age division. Senior teams may not include members from any other age division. See rule #2 for age divisions.
