Overview

A Focus on Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound in Children

Overview

This one-day ultrasound (US) hands-on in-person workshop is hosted by the Center of Pediatric Contrast Ultrasound (CPCU) in the Department of Radiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

The workshop is designed to teach the basic principles of pediatric contrast-enhanced US (CEUS) including diagnostic and interventional radiology. We cover intravenous and intracavitary contrast US applications (including intravesical) in children. The target audience includes those using contrast-enhanced US (CEUS) or caring for children who would benefit from CEUS such as pediatric radiologists, sonographers, general practice and subspecialty clinicians, nurses, and ultrasound application specialists.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:

  1. Perform and interpret intravenous CEUS studies in pediatric patients.
  2. Perform and interpret contrast-enhanced voiding urosonography (ceVUS) studies in pediatric patients.
  3. Set up a CEUS program in their own departments.

Registration

Registration fees included breakfast, lunch, and pediatric contrast ultrasound information package.

  • Sonographers:$80
  • Radiologists and Other Clinicians: $160
  • Registrants from Industry: $215
