Event description

Description

This one-woman show chronicles Rachel Hollander's adventures (and mis-adventures!) through the maze of a mental health diagnosis -- and how she found her way to Healing. Sharing her story using humuor and honesty as well as original music, this is a journey from darkness to light, from a diagnosis to a life of Balance and Spiritual Wholeness.

About Rachel: Growing up in a family of singers, actors and cantors, Rachel began performing with her sisters at the age of four. She studies theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, graduating in 1987. She went on play Evita in Evita!, Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, and Prudie Cupp (twice -- one of her favorite roles) in Pump Boys and Dinettes. She toured the US for eight years performing lead roles with Cleveland Sign Stage Theatre. Rachel is an ASL interpreter, an interfaith minister, a writer, and a lifelong lover of musical theatre -- which is why she chose to tell her story this way. She also has a heck of a great singing voice, which she inherited from her beloved father Buddy!

(running time approx. 80 minutes)
