Laura Pipkin Kramer (Executive Chef at Camp Waldemar for Girls):
Laura is the executive chef at Camp Waldemar for girls in Hunt, Texas. She has a great passion for wine and chocolate... and the combination of both. This will be Laura's second time at the Italian Cultural & Community Center (ICCC), as she presented her delicious chocolate truffles at our wine tasting last February.
Having offered her assorted hand dipped truffles as her gimmick gift at an interview for a new wine bar in Houston several years ago, she was able to professionally combine her unique recipes of chocolate with her fascination and enjoyment for wine. Her truffles were so well received that Mary Vuong, food writer for the Houston Chronicle, featured her in a holiday article about handmade candies, and her customers at the Wine Bar frequently referred to her as the “Truffle Lady.”
