Chocolate Making: Bean to Bar with Herbal Infusion

Learn to make pure healing chocolates made from direct trade cacao beans, local honey, and freshly harvested healing herbs from the medicinal herb garden at Common Good City Farm. Cacao is a superfood that is nourishing for your body and soul. It may have the potential to be used for the prevention and treatment of allergies, cancers, oxidative injuries, inflammatory conditions, anxiety, hyperglycemia, and insulin resistance. Ancient Mesoamerican civilization considered it a sacred plant, a "Food of the Gods," and had Gods and Goddesses of Cacao who represented abundance and fertility of the land. To this day it is known as a heart opener, and is used as guidance in internal wisdom. Using cacao as a canvas, we will explore different seasonal herbs to create powerful healing chocolates that taste Godly, and have powers to lift you up with the knowledge that you are giving back to the community, farmers, and spreading the abundance that is inherent in cacao.
