Chimeras: Mythical Clay Creatures (Grades 5-8)
C-248 – On 6/15
1 Thursday, 5:30-7:00pm, Room 101
Instructor: Allison Uhl
If you were any kind of animal, what would you be? Is it hard to choose just one? Taking inspiration from the Museum's Gary Spinosa exhibit "Avatars: Relics from the Future", students will reveal their favorite self-character traits in the form of their very own chimera; using imagination, creativity, and clay sculpting techniques to create mixed-up mythical creatures based on their own personalities. Students will leave with a truly unique, one-of-a-kind piece of self-reflective artwork.
Cost: $19 per child (Cost for Members: $15)
