Event Information
About this Event
Hey, everyone! Partnered with Culture Tatertots, Glow Community Center is happily presenting a Springtime Kids Activity Workshop!
This month, we will be telling the story, "Frog the Lived in a Well" (井底之蛙).
We will also be making our own origami frog and paper lotus flower!
We hope you can join us! I can’t wait to see all of you all there.
"Growing up this Chinese idiom 井底之蛙 always stuck out to me. It reminds us that it is important to keep an open mind and to expand our horizons!"
-from the presenter, Ms. Gwendolyn Sung 宋小姐
Hiiii! I’m Gwen 🙋🏻♀️. First-time mom to the Tatertot, fur-mom to our dog @dstygram, wife, and creative. My parents immigrated from Taiwan to the US in the '80s. I was born in NY and raised in NJ. Growing up, my parents always emphasized the importance of culture. I remember that they lugged over dozens of sets of 小叮噹 Doraemon cassette tapes so that my brother and I could learn to speak Mandarin. I actually had to attend ESL when I first started grade school 👩🏻🏫. So I guess my parents were successful in their mission 🤣 Now that I’m a new parent, I have come to appreciate our cultural education even more!
