This class is for hospital clients. This class is NOT for MMC families.
We recommend starting the class between 28 and 32 weeks of pregnancy (should be completed by 35 weeks).
This class is a 3 week series for hospital birthing families. The participants will discuss and learn a variety of topics including: How to navigate the hospital system to work cohesively with the provider, wise and appropriate use of interventions, optimum fetal positioning, stages of labor and what to expect, tools for partners to help support the laboring woman, relaxation and comfort measures to use throughout the stages of labor, what to expect postpartum, and much more! This class will is very interactive and open to questions and discussion.
This class is open to anyone having a hospital birth, we recommend you complete the class by 35 weeks.
The instructor is Melissa Force, she has been a labor Doula for 5 years, and has been teaching childbirth education classes at Mountain Midwifery since 2011. She has a passion for working with families through the journey of pregnancy and birth, and tries to make class both fun and helpful.
There are no children allowed in class. Partners and support team strongly recommended to attend.
Classes will be held in the Frontier room at Mountain Midwifery Center.
