Childbirth Class

Expecting? You and your guest are invited to join us for a free childbirth class to help prepare you for your baby’s birthday. The class will give you information on pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenting.

Topics discussed include anatomy and physiology of pregnancy and birth, physical and emotional changes, the role of the labor companion, guidelines for nutrition and fitness during pregnancy, stages of labor, comfort measures that work, breathing and relaxation, pain relief options, postpartum care, and care and feeding your newborn. Expectant moms should attend a class near the 28th week of pregnancy. Pre-registration is required to ensure adequate space. Questions? Call the Special Delivery Department at (704) 838-7250.
