About this event
Join us for this free 2-class series focused on childbirth! We welcome expecting moms and their support person. In the first class, we will discuss preparing for the birth, signs, and stages of birth, comfort measures, relaxation, birth positions, and the golden hour. The second class will cover what to pack & prepare, birth plans, the unexpected in birth, pain, postpartum care, and more. We look forward to seeing you and supporting your journey approaching childbirth!
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ PRIOR TO REGISTERING:
This class is intended for those living in NW Oregon and SW Washington communities.
ALL CLASSES WILL BE HELD ON ZOOM UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
A ZOOM LINK WILL BE EMAILED TO YOU 1-3 DAYS BEFORE CLASS.
Join Mother & Child for this free 2-Class Series - focused on Childbirth - great for expecting moms, dads, or support persons who will be present during birth.
PLEASE SELECT A DATE TO ATTEND CLASS 1! Mother & Child will automatically add you to the Class 2 attendee list, based on the Class 1 date you select.
Typically, class 2 occurs on the Monday following Class 1, from 6pm-8pm. (Please make sure to mark your calendar to attend Class 2, one week after Class 1, from 6pm-8pm. However, there are times that we will skip a week before the next class. If it is unclear, please ask.)
About the organizer
Mother & Child works with moms, dads, and others parenting during pregnancy and their children's early infancy years of zero to five; offering classes, supplies, parent/family counseling, and connection to resources. Services are offered at no cost, and not restricted to income level or demographic, to equalize and to build a community of competent and confident parents.
Mother & Child is a local Portland, OR 501(c)3 non-profit, operating as Mother & Child since 2008; offering a non-judgemental space that connects and supports parents where they are at. Mother & Child is sustained through the giving of individuals, businesses, grants, and fundraising events.
