Child Welfare Trauma Training Toolkit (CWTTT) - Cohort 5
Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 1:00 PM - Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 5:00 PM (MDT)
The Trauma Informed Practice (TIP) initiative is a federal grant-funded partnership between DDHS CW and The Kempe Children’s Center. Our collaborative goal is to build a more trauma-informed system of care within our agency and with our partner agencies to serve Denver’s children and families in a more trauma-informed way.
You have been identified as an integral part of child welfare and/or trauma grant support and are being invited to attend the Child Welfare Trauma Training Toolkit (CWTTT) training to help you gain:
- Knowledge about the incidence of childhood traumatic stress in the child welfare population
- Impact of child traumatic stress on developmental stages, including the brain
- Knowledge about the relationship between culture and trauma
- Tools to address compassion fatigue and secondary trauma
This four hour training will be delivered in two sessions (two hours each session).
