Event Details

THURSDAY, APRIL 27, 2017 • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Speakers at the Moore Center's symposium will focus on policies that affect children with problem sexual behaviors and highlight child sexual abuse prevention research that targets school-age children.

Featured Speakers
This year we are pleased to welcome Johns Hopkins University President Ronald Daniels who will welcome attendees and give opening remarks.

Patrick McCarthy, president and chief executive officer at the Annie E. Casey Foundation will deliver our keynote address.

Film and Discussion
We will screen "Untouchable," a documentary that "interweaves intimate portraits of men and women who have been branded sex offenders with the heartbreaking stories of those who have suffered sexual abuse."

Panelists will discuss the effectiveness of sex offender registration and notification policies and the importance of prevention programs for children. Watch the trailer.

Our lunch and learn will feature an in-depth presentation on research at the Moore Center, a networking opportunity and a catered lunch for a small fee.

Poster presentations on child maltreatment prevention will be presented by students. Students interested in presenting, click here. The deadline to submit proposals is April 3, 2017.
