Child Sex Trafficking: Risk Factors, Recognition and Response for Law Enforcement

This training is designed to support the efforts of law enforcement professionals engaged in the investigation, response, and prosecution of child sex trafficking. Free TCOLE credit provided!

The training will include:

  • Information and resources from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children on child pornography, online exploitation, and child sex trafficking;
  • Frontline Interdiction for the Protection of Children from Child Sex Trafficking and Child Exploitation from Texas DPS;
  • A presentation highlighting a child sex trafficking case study presented by Austin Police Department’s Human Trafficking and Vice Unit;
  • Overview of laws and case studies from a prosecutor from the Office of the Attorney General; and
  • A survivor's perspective on child sex trafficking and the importance of trauma-informed care.
