Child and Youth Care
This course provides an overview of child and youth care topics including: professional practice, relationship, communication, and developmental practice. Participants are introduced to a range of concepts including professional identity, ethics, active listening, empowering interactions, problem solving, and positive youth development. Group development and activity leadership are also integrated into the course. This course is perfect for entry level practitioners or those who want to review or refresh their passion for the field of child and youth care.
Class hours are 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (lunch on your own 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm). Sign-in begins at 8:30 am.
