Child Abuse & Neglect Recognition and Reporting Training

 

Kansas Children’s Service League is offering training opportunities for mandated reporters and others interested in learning more about this important topic.

 

The objectives for this training include:

1.      To understand the risk and protective factors related to child abuse and neglect

2.      To educate professionals on the definitions and signs of abuse and neglect

3.      To identify the signs of abusive head trauma and strategies to prevent it

4.      To understand the role of mandated reporter and the process for making reports

 

This training is approved by KDHE for child care licensing requirements, and does contain information on preventing shaken baby syndrome (featuring the Period of PURPLE crying program).

 

Cost is $25
