Child Abuse Prevention 5k Run/Walk & 1 Mile FUN Run

Child Abuse Prevention 5k Run/ Walk is an awareness and fundraising event to benefit HCISD- Teen Parenting Program located at KEYS Academy & Valley Haven Emergency Children’s Shelter. The Teen Parenting Program is dedicated to educating young teen parents on all aspects of parenting with a large emphasis on laws, dangers & coping skills! It is NEVER ok to abuse a Child! Valley Haven's mission is to protect, guide, and nurture abused and neglected children by providing them a safe and loving temporary home! Both non-profit organizations are committed to healthy children and families.
Here families with children, seniors, and others will participate in a 5K run/walk to support safe, happy and healthy children. A 1 mile route will also be provided. This is a pet-friendly event. Dogs on leashes are allowed.
This fun family event will be a chance to alert all people in the RGV of the importance of commitment to child abuse prevention. Proceeds will benefit both organizations-
