Event description

Description

The role of the Chief Resident is changing rapidly. From enforcing new accreditation requirements and coaching junior colleagues' performance to monitoring the well-being of themselves and their fellow physicians, chief residents are being asked to assume a leadership position that requires the use of new competencies, skills and behaviors.

To address this need, SCS created an innovative Chief Resident Leadership Skills Workshop designed for upcoming chief residents in 2020-2021 academic year. This interactive, full-day workshop will provide participants with an in-depth look at the roles and responsibilities of a chief resident practical ways to manage stress, and tips for teaching and giving feedback using critical leadership skills.

Participants successfully completing the program will receive a certificate documenting their training in required resident ACGME milestones and Physician Wellness & Resilience - important CLER learning objectives.
