Join us for our annual Party with a Purpose to benefit our scholarships for literacy and writing tutors!
This year, we'll offer 20 scholarships!
And to keep you entertained, we'll have Chicago luminaries reading some of the worst poetry we could find, curated by our partner Open Books.
Each ticket includes:
- One drink
- Silent auction
- A series of readings dictated by our very own CWC Promptenator 3000*
Our Master of Ceremonies is Mike Stephen of WGN Radio's Outside the Loop.
Our readers include:
- WBEZ's Monica Eng
- The Dissolve's Tasha Robinson
- New Yorker cartoonist and Captain Dad author Pat Byrnes
- Author James Kennedy
Join us for this evening of fun and groans, while supporting a worthy cause.
*The CWC Promptenator 3000 may or may not be a real machine that matches readers with bad poetry, oddities, and other strange texts that they have never seen before.
Chicago Writers Conference is a 501(c)3 organization. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
