Meeting Topic: Limiting SQL Server Exposure 

Abstract: Sooner or later we DBAs are tasked with securing our Database instances whether we like it or not. The purpose of this topic is to offer the participants some solid pointers to lock down the SQL Server instances without causing a disruption to the applications. We will also look at how auditing schema changes can save us from potential hackers. 

 

Speaker Bio:

Ross Reed is a Sr. SQL Server Database Administrator for The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC). He has 20 years of experience in SQL Server product, first as a database developer and then as a DBA.
