CHICAGO SPORTS MUSEUM UNVEILS CUBS WORLD SERIES COLLECTION
Sun, June 18, 2017, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM CDT
The Chicago Sports Museum recently unveiled its Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series Exhibit. The exhibit honors many of the most celebrated moments of the historic 2016 season—culminating in the team’s first World Series win in 108 years. Highlights include David Ross’ catcher’s gear from Game 7, Kris Bryant’s last-out cleats, Joe Maddon’s “We Did Not Suck” t-shirt, and Addison Russell’s World Series Grand Slam ball. Details about the extraordinary items in this exhibit are attached.
In conjunction with the reveal of the World Series exhibit, the Chicago Sports Museum is also announcing the VIP Experience, led by Grant DePorter, founder of the Chicago Sports Museum and one of the foremost collectors of Chicago sports memorabilia. “I wanted to give fans the chance to experience behind-the-scenes access to treasured pieces of Chicago sports history,” says DePorter of his inspiration behind creating the VIP Experience. The VIP Experience will be available from 11a-12p on May 7, June 18, and July 23. The cost is $30 per guest (free for children under 3), which includes admission to the Museum. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Chicago Gateway Green, a non-profit organization dedicated to greening and beautifying Chicago's expressway, gateways, and neighborhoods.
