Description

Your Trainee Day has been rescheduled to February 15th , 2018 from 9.30am – 1pm and you are encouraged to sign up early. Do so by December 20th and you will be entered to win a $25 gift card to Chapters/Indigo!

Our theme this year is "Succeeding in Interdisciplinary Research".

We are excited to have Dr. Diane Finegood as the keynote speaker! Dr. Finegood served as the CEO and President of the Michael Smith Research Foundation from 2012-2017. She has a wealth of experience in the fields of nutrition, obesity and diabetes and will deliver a presentation on "Interdisciplinary research in the age of complexity".

We will also have a panel discussion on Succeeding in Interdisciplinary Research, with a Q/A session for trainees to ask panelists about their career and research experience.

Want a chance to win more prizes? Enter the Science Slam-Three Minute Thesis competition. This is an open event where trainees compete for bragging rights and up to $50 value gift card.

Here’s how it works:
Competitors have 1-3 minutes to present on any topic relevant to CHHM. Your mission is to communicate your research in a way that is engaging, entertaining, and concise. You can rap, dance, mime, sing or stoically deliver a monologue – the method is up to you.

Competitors will be judged on: creativity; clarity; scientific merit; general awesomeness and value to the CHHM community.

Sign up for te 3MT now and get a second entry into the draw for the Chapters/Indigo gift card (show your interest by selecting a 3MT ticket below)!

You must sign up before December 20 2017 for a chance to win the Indigo gift card!
