ChessPalace is hosting our second Scholastic USCF rated games of the year!

Open to all grades Kindergarten to 12th grade, the tournaments are a great way to start playing chess competitively.

The remaining two tournaments for the first quarter of 2019 are on Sunday, February 24, and March 31.

Details for the scholastic tournament:

Sections

1. K-12th grade Open rating 1200 and above(3 rounds)
2. K-12th grade rated Under 1200 (4 rounds)
3. K-6th grade rated under 600 (4 rounds)
4. K-6th grade U400 (4 rounds)

Rounds 1 starts 11:30 AM with awards estimated at around 4:30 pm.

Time control: Game 60 minutes in K-12th Open section, and Game 30 minutes in all other sections.

Awards: Trophies to top 3 winners in each section. Participation medals to non-place finishers.

Entry Fee: $35 ($40 onsite) with discount available for registering simultaneously in more than one tournament. Pre-register online to save!

Lunch is available for an additional $5 (pizza, chips, and juice).
