Cheryl’s Voice Present’s 2nd annual Overcoming Your Trauma Domestic Violence Awareness Summit and Resource Fair for Youth and Families.

 Hear from dynamic professionals and survivor and get information on community resources. This event is for all genders adults, youth and families; Join us and learn about domestic violence, and how it shapes our community.

 There will be amazing door prizes given by Best Buy and Walmart along with refereshments



 9:00 am Registration 

9:30 am Welcoming and Prayer 

10:00 am Keynote Speaker: Coach Theo Bray 

10:40 am Survivor Speaker: LaTasha Jackson-McDougle                                    

11:20 am break out session Girls & Women learn self defense lesson by TXBBA Academy 

Boys & Men learn walking away and being safe by Community Frontline and Law Enforcement.

Founder LaTasha Jackson-McDougle

”My core passions are speaking to youth; women and men to increase their knowledge of dating violence, intimate partner violence, and overcoming childhood trauma.” –LaTasha

LaTasha Jackson-McDougle is 2017 Winner of Case Manager of year award for her work in Judge Carr's RISE program helping victims of human trafficking; 2017 nominee of Young Hearts Matter Advocate of the Year Award;  2016 winner of Mitch Poe award,a proud graduate of the University of Texas Arlington where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work, an Honors Master of Criminology and Criminal Justice degree, and Honors Master of Science in Social Work degree. She is a published contributing author of “Dethroning Domestic Violence of Survival and Victory". LaTasha is also the publishing author of “The Prosecutor’s Role in helping Domestic Violence Victims.” 

LaTasha is currently a Case Manager at Tarrant County over the Domestic Violence Diversion Program; the Founder of Cheryl’s Voice and also a Professor at UT Arlington. LaTasha has committed herself to help serve, educate and empower others for over 16 years in social work and criminal justice fields.
