About this Event
Our annual event Cheltenham's Three Peak Challenge, is back for 2021!
The 22 mile walk which starts at our activities hub, Phoenix , provides you with the opportunity to take part in an exhausting but exhilarating adventure through Gloucestershire’s most picturesque landscapes whilst tackling the three tallest peaks in the county; Crickley, Leckhampton and Cleeve hill!
We have limited guided spaces, in which walkers can sign up to walk with our guide, who knows the local area like the back of their hand. Guided walkers are expected complete the full route, however we also offer self-guided spaces, where walkers are given a route map, and instructions and pointed in the right direction with route markers along the way. Self-guided walkers can drop out at any checkpoint and sign out.
Checkpoints are located near to / at:
- Phoenix, 86-90 Winchcombe Street, Cheltenham, GL52 2NW - all walkers start here
- Crickley Hill, Birdlip, Gloucester GL4 8JY
- Leckhampton Hartley Ln, Shurdington, Cheltenham, GL53 9QJ
- Lineover Woods, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham GL54 4HG
- Cleeve Southam, Cheltenham GL54 4EU
Each checkpoint provides water refills, fruit and toilet facilities.
Following feedback from 2020's event, we have now introduced staggered starts. If you plan to run this challenge we advice you to book into the 6.30am slot. Please give yourself enough time to complete the full route / the portion of the route you plan to complete. Guided walkers are to meet at Phoenix for a 7.30am start.
