Join Chef Collaborative Board Member Evan Mallett (Black Trumpet, NH) and his agent Sally Ekus of The Lisa Ekus Group as they host an intimate evening of conversation, drinks, and nibbles at Jimmy Carbone's Jimmy’s No. 43. Together Sally and Evan secured a book deal with Chelsea Green publishing for his debut book, Black Trumpet: One Chef’s Journey through Eight New England Seasons, to be released fall 2016. We would like to celebrate this accomplishment and chat with other Chefs Collaborative members about their important work and book ideas.
Plan to bring concepts to explore for book ideas, questions about publishing, stories of your own path to publishing, and ideas to discuss around book/brand marketing.
This evening is for anyone who has thought about writing a book, has written a book and wants to share their story and experience, and for the novice who is interested in learning more about the process. We will talk through the publishing process, proposals, and publishing all while engaging in fun and meaningful conversation about the work each of you do in this industry.
Space is limited and participants will be responsible for covering their own expenses. Jimmy has graciously offered the space to host the evening with a menu to order a la carte and full bar. Plus, who doesn’t love a chance to talk over cocktails for a fun wind down after the Summit?!
