Event description

Description

Meet culinary icon Chef Jacques Pépin at an intimate cocktail reception while supporting NECAT, a local culinary job training organization.

Come early and enjoy a once in a lifetime opportunity to sit in on a cooking demo with Chef Pépin in NECAT's beautiful, state-of-the-art culinary amphitheater. Then stay for delicious hors d'oeuvres and wine, receive a free signed copy of Chez Jacques, one of the chef's favorite books, and meet this culinary legend.

Chef Pépin is a world-renowned French chef, television personality and author who, together with Julia Child and James Beard, redefined the way Americans view food and dining. It is because of these chefs that we enjoy a vibrant restaurant culture today. After a long and wildly successful career, Chef Jacques has launched the Jacques Pépin Foundation to help support organizations like NECAT, which help disadvantaged individuals enter his beloved industry.

Cooking Demo (limited to 100 individuals): 4:00 to 5:30 pm
Cocktail Reception: 5:30 to 7:00 pm

His demonstration will illustrate the principles of economy, speed and efficiency essential to professional cooking.
