Description

Mozzarella and Burrata–Learn to make your favorite Pasta Filata Cheeses!

Larry and Linda Faillace of Three Shepherds Farm are back to bring the secrets and techniques of authentic Mozzarella, Burrata and more to Kitchen 19! These cheeses are in the family of “Pasta Filata” or spun curd cheeses, and they just happen to be the favorites of many people.

Larry and Linda make their handmade artisan version of these cheeses throughout the summer for their local Vermont farmers market. They use authentic Old World recipes that give their Mozzarella great flavor and texture. This makes it a perfect match in the ever-popular Caprese salad and the beautiful, soft Burrata is nearly unmatched as a culinary experience.

This is a hands-on class and you will learn everything you need to know to make these cheeses in your own home. There will be samples packed up to take home and share with your family and a delicious lunch will be enjoyed by the students!

No experience is necessary to take this class, but it is also a great choice for those who have taken our Introductory Artisanal Cheesemaking Class on Saturday the 11th and want to expand their cheese making repertoire. This class will be a popular choice and will fill quickly, so don’t wait to register -- and the timing of the class could not be more perfect for people wanting to make their own cheeses for the friends and family at Thanksgiving and the holidays.
