We are excited to announce our Winter 2016 cheese raclette pop-up dinner! The dinner will continue to be held in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, at the beautiful Stow Lake Boathouse (http://stowlakeboathouse.com).
Experience an evening where Swiss tradition meets California creativity!
The ticket price includes the following:
- Wine and beer - carefully selected to pair with the raclette
- Charcuterie plate (cured meats) highlighting American producers
- Green salad
- Cheese raclette - two different types of aged raw milk cheeses will be offered and served alongside country bread from local bakers, boiled potatoes, and pickled vegetables
- Homemade Swiss-style dessert
- Coffee and tea
We love raclette just as much as we love cheese fondue and look forward to sharing this meal with you. During the dinner, we will serve you the raclette cheese 'steaks', along with the accompaniments. The fun part is you'll be able to melt the cheese yourself using a raclette specific burner that has been purchased directly from Switzerland!
There's a Swiss-German saying about fondue that can easily be applied to raclette - FIGUGEGL: "Fondue isch guet und git e gueti Luune," meaning "Fondue is good and brings a good mood."
