Chavez Youth and Community Foundation

The Chavez Youth and Community Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit youth advocacy program that teaches at-risk youth how to be disciplined, mindful, respectful, and accountable through the sport of amateur boxing.  The hope and goals are to shape kids into positive community members, role models, and leaders. The foundation currently serves 40 at-risk-youth throughout the valley directly on a daily basis with over 100 households served indirectly.  Many of the youth served in our program are from lower-income, single-parent or broken households with limited supervision and parental support. Due to their circumstances, they are more susceptible to involvement with drugs and alcohol, gangs, and gang violence.  They are also at a much higher risk for dropping out of school.  The youth participating in the foundation have made dramatic changes in their lives after joining the program.
