Event description

Description

The Center for Health and Social Policy (CHASP) is the home of social policy at the LBJ School and a network of faculty, staff, students, and alumni who are passionate about reducing social and health disparities in the U.S. and abroad.

All LBJ students interested in social policy issues are invited to the annual CHASP Student Welcome Lunch to learn about the Center and the Social Policy Network (SPN) student and alumni group. Meet the director and other faculty as well as your peers who share the same policy interests. Get involved in SPN as leadership, committee lead, or a member.

Lunch provided with RSVP!

Social policy is inclusive of myriad interrelated issues: poverty, inequality, healthcare, public education, child welfare, criminal justice, food insecurity, family structure, mental health, family supports, reproductive health, early childhood, health finance, aging, juvenile justice, adolescent health, housing, and transportation.
