Description

The public is invited to a free public screening of the powerful and important FBI documentary “Chasing the Dragon” and open forum discussion, to be held in the Parsons Veterans Memorial Auditorium on October 27th at 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The event is hosted by The Milford Kiwanis Club and Milford Prevention Council in an effort to help raise awareness of this growing epidemic.

This 45-minute documentary examines the epidemic of prescription drug and opioid abuse from first-person accounts by addicts and their family members about their experiences. Be advised that this program contains strong language and graphic images. Viewing age of 18 and over is recommended. Viewer Discretion Advised.

Following the viewing an open forum discussion, moderated by Charles Grady, Community Outreach Specialist/Media Liaison of the FBI, along with insight from local medical specialists, is designed to help families and the local community have open and honest communication about addiction and be better prepared to avoid becoming a victim.

For questions regarding the public screening, please contact us at info@milfordprevention.org or on our Facebook event page.
