CHASING BUTTERFLIES : BUTCH ANTHONY DOCUMENTARY 7:30p

Please join us at Preacher Gallery on Thursday, March 23rd for a very special, intimate gathering from 6-9pm with one of our favorite artists, Butch Anthony.

We’ll be proudly hosting two screenings of “Chasin’ Butterflies” - a beautiful & endearing documentary on the legendary Intertwangler himself.

This delightful portrait of his distinctive work and rich creative life is loaded with charm, humor and signature Butch-isms to live by. Butch will be on hand for a Q&A following the film.

Space is limited for each screening, so a reservation is highly recommended.

The documentary run time is 20 minutes. There will be a DJ, cocktails, and Butch-approved popcorn in the courtyard from 6-9pm to help toast this legend and enjoy an evening under the stars with the creative community. All welcome all ways!

Butch Anthony is a lot like his art: eccentric, playful, authentic, charming, provocative, embellished, and layered. But, as a self-taught artist from a one-horse town in rural Alabama, he can’t be easily categorized any more than his art can. In this layered portrait, we meet the man behind the drive-thru museum, trophy-covered Cadillac, and pontoon pirate ship known as Llatikcuf (read it backwards). Get to know the Butch behind the Butch and see him for what he truly is: an original.
