Charles McCree Presents .....

The 9th Annual

Walk A Mile In My Shoe

Charity Shoe Drive

Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 9:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m.

@Freddyo's Tees & Quotes - 244 Peters St,

Atlanta, GA 30331

Who: Charles McCree (President, Philanthropist and Cultural Curator) & Partners

Project Walk A Mile In My Shoes is an aid organization that collects new & slightly used shoes and sneakers for the homeless population, youth and families in need. The shoe drive kicks off at 9:00 a.m. and we collect donations in a shoe-a-thon style until 9:00 p.m. Our day is filled with the amazing support from our closet supporters to complete strangers who all have 1 common goal, GIVING!

* Celebrity Support -  The work of Project Walk A Mile was only made possible by the support of generous community members both local and national; which resulted in the support & recognition by celebrities all over the world, with the most notable being Oprah Winfrey. We are grateful to have received donations and support from Streetz 94.5, Russell Simmons, Lifestyle specialist/Host/Author Kenny Burns, Terrence J (E! News), Actor Lance Gross, Stephen Hill (President of Entertainment for B.E.T Networks), Reebok, actor/artist T.I and his company Grand Hustle, actor/artist Ludacris, B.E.T Networks, Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Wear, Actress Kim Coles, and Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Greg Street & the V-103/CBS Radio Family.  Just last year, Project Walk A Mile got the attention of Superman himself via social media during our plea to find shoes for a homeless man who wears a size 22 in shoes. Shaquille O'Neal personally invited the Project Walk a Mile team to shop and receive his personal shoe donations for our homeless big guy!

Who Does the Shoe Donations Benefit?:

Project Walk A Mile in partnership with DREAMS Event Planning & Tommy In The City spend the following week after the event delivering shoes to the homeless community in Atlanta, local shelters such as Atlanta Metro Task Force, Covenant House (teenage shelter), Positive Growth Boyz Home, My Sister's House, The Shepherd's House, Mary Hall Freedom House, Arms of Love, Gateway, The Cascade House, Dress for Success, Boys & Girls Club and last year we had the pleasure of aiding youth and families in need in South Africa in Partnership with Bridging The Gap Africa.

Girls Giving Back

Who We Are?

Girls Giving Back(GGB)non-profit organization was birth out of the passionate hearts of 2 women with similar ambitions to make a difference in the lives of the needy.  Our mission is to bring attention to the homeless population in Atlanta while assisting to decrease these numbers by becoming directly involved in an effort to provide meals to the less fortunate.  Our second initiative was to inspire and impact the lives of our youth through mentorship and summer camp program.  We are proud to state that we are succeeding in these goals with hopes to expand the GGB brand throughout multiple communities, cities, states and internationally.

Operating out of faith since 2014, our non-profit organization has been able to jump start our operations by using our own funds, donations and the help of volunteers to build a strong foundation of leadership to guide our growth and expand our services to assist more families in need.

GGB is a Georgia corporation in good & active standing that retains an approved 501c3 status and is managed by a board of directors
