Event description
The Pittsburgh Icemen and the Pittsburgh Warthogs will take the ice to face off in a charity ice hockey game for the Children's Burn Camp

About this event

On Saturday August 14, 2021 the Pittsburgh Icemen and the Pittsburgh Warthogs will take the ice to face off in a charity ice hockey game to benefit the AHN West Penn Burn Center's Children Burn Camp program. Join us as these two ice hockey power houses compete to raise funds for children that suffer life altering injuries from burns. Your support will help change the life of a child and support the Burn Camp.

Summer Camp For Burn Injured Children

In 1986, West Penn Burn Center established its Summer Camp for Burn Injured Children. The goal was to give children who have been burned a chance to heal physically and emotionally in a supportive environment that offered plenty of opportunities for fun.

At this free, five-day camp, kids ages 7 to 17 who have been treated at West Penn Burn Center meet to share their stories and enjoy new experiences. With the guidance of skilled professionals, children are encouraged to meet new challenges and to take positive risks by participating in adventures — such as rope climbing — that help build confidence while building strong bodies.
