Here is her story:

On may 25th I was diagnosed with bi lateral breast cancer. They had done a mammogram, sonogram, and diagnostic X-ray and determined one tumor to be about 2 cm the other side even smaller. Not to alarming it was detected early and appeared contained within the breast. On July 13th I had a bi lateral Mastectomy. The tumors were much larger than originally thought with the largest at 4.7 cm. Also the cancer had spread to my lymph nodes in my left arm requiring a full lymph nodes removal. I had a total of five surgeries in 2.5 months. On September 20th I was cleared to start chemotherapy ( my cat scan showed two small spots on liver did not test to determine if cancer or just a cyst. They will keep an eye on them) I started with two doses every other week for 8 weeks now currently on round 2 which is one dose every week for 12 weeks. My anticipated completion date is January 31st. Then on to many weeks of radiation. I have been out of work since July 6th with no income. I asked my boss about working part time and she said they hired a temp and it would not be fair to them for me to work only now and then when I was feeling well enough which I can't determine what kind a day I'll have until I wake up in the morning. My company had less than 50 employees so I do not have FMLA to guarantee I'll have a job to go back to. With radiation that is every day for about 5 weeks. I have applied for SSDI and are still waiting months later for a response. Right now I'm living on credit cards digging a hole I hope to be able to crawl out of. Then when all is clear I can finally get reconstruction surgery which has a 6 week recovery.
