The Boy Mir: Ten Years in Afghanistan - Official Trailer
Come celebrate Afghan New Year with British indie film director Phil Grabsky at the Orange County premiere of his beautiful, internationally acclaimed documentary The Boy Mir: Ten Years in Afghanistan.
Following the international hit The Boy Who Plays on the Buddhas of Bamyan, The Boy Mir tracks cheeky, enthusiastic Mir from a childish eight to a fully grown eighteen year-old. Enjoy tea and Afghan refreshments all evening and share in a post-film discussion on topics like education in Afghanistan, successful NGO intiatives, the making of the film, the British entertainment industry and how Mir is doing now. This is a journey into early adulthood in one of the toughest places on earth and a journey that mirrors the vitally important story of Afghanistan.
