Mandatory meeting for all teams, attend only one. Parents welcome.
Chappaqua Challenge is a fun, low-key reading program for 4th-6th graders, who form teams of 3-4 people and take 3- 4 months to read from a list of 12 books. Team members can divvy up the books any way they like, as long as each book is read by two people. In late February each team will write questions about one of the books, randomly chosen by us. On the day of the Challenge, March 25, the teams will quiz each other. There is NO AUDIENCE, we don’t keep score, and no one wins or loses. Each member earns a gift certificate from a local bookstore, and we party right afterwards! FAQS: http://bit.ly/2eMQhwM
NOTE: This is a mandatory meeting for potential or registered Chappaqua Challenge teams. Actual Challenge registration is not final until each team member has filled out and dropped off a completed permission slip. Registration deadline: December 19.
