Chanting techniques to attain calmness of mind

The Spiritual Science Research Foundation invites you to attend a unique spiritual lecture presented by Mrs. Shweta Clarke and Ms. Sandy Yong. All are welcome.

With our busy and demanding lifestyles, it is often difficult to maintain stability and calmness from within. Our mind is bombarded with millions of thoughts throughout the day and this can leave us feeling mentally drained by the end of it. Some of us may have tried different techniques to overcome this obstacle to attain calmness of mind, but there is one simple technique that is very effective for acheiving this.

In this lecture we will share with you a chanting technique that will overpower the various impressions in the subconcious mind that give rise to excessive thoughts. Chanting is also the most conducive spiritual practice in today's time since it can be done anywhere and anytime without restrictions. Learn how chanting works and which chant is suited for you to attain calmness of mind as well as spiritual growth.

We welcome you to join us in this spiritual lecture to learn more.

About the presenters:

Mrs. Shweta Clarke

From her early childhood Shweta had an innate love for God and wished to serve Him. She always imagined herself devoting her life completely for spiritual practice but wondered how she would go about it. When she met His Holiness Dr Athavale for the first time in 1997, Shweta knew her search was over. Under His guidance Shweta started spiritual practice in earnest. In 2008 she put aside her career in human resource management for full-time satseva (service to God) in the Spiritual Research Centre in Goa, India.

Since then she has been exposed to a wide array of satsevas at the Spiritual Research Centre and Ashram and has shown a lot of enthusiasm and dedication for them. Her love for her co-seekers is very natural. Whenever somebody asks for help, without a moment’s hesitation Shweta is always prompt to help. Today she is responsible for nurturing new seekers for SSRF in the India region, co-ordination of all articles for the SSRF website, answering of questions on the SSRF website and organising and conducting spiritual workshops in Goa. She has a lot of desire to help others in their spiritual journey. Her qualities of leadership, promptness, love for others and spiritual emotion towards God are expressed in the satsevas she does.

Ms Sandy Yong

Sandy Yong was pursuing a career in Advertising and Branding, despite the high life and exciting events that she enjoyed, she felt a sense of emptiness within her. As a child, she had been searching for answers to life’s challenges and was also searching for God. Her search led her on her spiritual path starting in her teenage years. She had experiences in practicing Christianity, Buddhism, New Age spirituality and Energy healing modalities. She also was practicing meditation for decades and although there was some progress initially, after a while she felt that she could not progress further.

This led her search to SSRF which provided answers to many of her questions. She felt relief from the problems she faced in life as the solutions were provided in the practices advised by SSRF, which also includes the personality defect removal process. She realized that most of the unhappiness she experienced in life stemmed from ego and personality defects. After less than a year of intense practice under the guidance of SSRF, she felt a child-like joy that was lost of years.

She is now actively involved in the service of spreading spirituality through organizing events and translating the SSRF articles to Chinese. She has recently started to share these effective remedies and teachings through lectures and satsangs with conviction gained through many personal spiritual experiences.
