Channel Islands Harbor Inaugural Reindeer Paddle

Get ready to paddle into the holiday season! The Channel Islands Harbor will host its inaugural Reindeer Paddle at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, inviting kayakers and paddleboarders to dress in their most festive holiday gear and spread cheer on the water. This new event is part of the Harbor’s continuing effort to bring the community together through fun, family-friendly traditions that celebrate the spirit of the season.

Event Details

Start Location: East Bank Day Dock (between Fisherman’s Wharf and the public launch ramp)
Route: Paddle to the Channel Islands Blvd. Bridge and back
Time: 11 a.m., Saturday, December 13
Pace: Go at your own speed
Safety: Harbor Patrol will be on hand to provide safety services

Dress In Festive Gear, Win Prizes!

Participants are encouraged to embrace the holiday spirit by dressing as reindeer, elves, Santa, or any other festive holiday gear! Festive participants will have a chance to win prizes through a drawing at the end of the paddle. Prizes have been provided by generous Harbor sponsors Sea Fresh Channel Islands, Harbor Market, and Islands Packers. Cumulus Media has provided tickets to Lego Land!

Hopper Boat Rentals and the Channel Islands Kayak Center both offer rentals within the Harbor—perfect for joining the fun.
