Who are we? How do we help?
Please join us to learn more about how we serve the Seniors in Our Community!
3rd Wednesday each odd month, 10:00am - 11:00am
Our one-hour orientation is held on the third Wednesday of every month and explains the services provided by the Council on Aging - Southern California. The orientations start on time and are over in one hour because we value your time as much as you do.
We do not ask for a donation at this event; we simply want to get the word out to the community about the Council on Aging’s programs available for older adults and persons with disabilities, and their families. The Council has added several new programs in the last few years and we want to let the community know about us in a more personal way.
As our guest, you will learn more about…
- Established in 1973 as the first agency in Orange County dedicated to serving the needs of vulnerable older adults.
- A variety of programs and services to meet the needs of older adults and their families:
Advisement: for concerns of financial abuse

Education: for professionals, corporations and individuals
Advocacy: for the deserving residents of long term care facilities
Socialization: for isolated adults who need to reconnect with their communities
- 80 staff members and over 400 volunteers
- Expansion of our services to meet the growing needs of the older adult community in Southern California.
