Description

The Chancellor's Community Partnership Fund (the Partnership Fund) supports projects in arts and culture, community safety, economic development, environmental stewardship and education. Since its establishment in 2006, the Partnership Fund has awarded more than $2 million to more than 140 neighborhood-improvement projects and community-service programs that involve collaborative relationships between the campus and the Berkeley community to address critical needs.

About the Event
This community mixer is for potential applicants to the 2018-2019 Partnership Fund cycle, which was just recently launched. Come learn more about the application process and explore potential campus-Berkeley community partnerships! Invite friends and colleagues!

About the Partnership Fund
For the 2017-2018 grant cycle, approximately $285,000 will be allocated for distribution and all grants will be for one-year projects or programs. For education-based grants, applicants are required to identify how the project or program aligns with and forwards the goals of the 2020 Vision for Berkeley's Children and Youth.

About 2020 Vision for Berkeley's Children and Youth
The 2020 Vision is Berkeley’s community-wide effort to end the racial disparities in academic achievement among children and youth in Berkeley. The 2020 Vision represents a commitment by the Berkeley Unified School District, the City of Berkeley, the University of California at Berkeley, and several community partners to achieve the following: That all children, regardless of race, ethnicity, and income, who enter Berkeley Schools will achieve equitable outcomes with no proficiency differences by the time they graduate; and that all children receive a healthy start and are equally ready to learn and succeed in Berkeley Public Schools. More information for the 2020 Vision for Berkeley's Children and Youth will be provided at this mixer. Key dates for the Fund are as follows:
