Kids In Need Foundation (KINF), a national nonprofit that believes every child in America deserves equal access to a quality education, will host Champions For Education: Opportunity Gap on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 1:30 p.m.ET/12:30 p.m. CT. The event is free and open to the public.

Back by popular demand, Justice Alan Page, Former Associate Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court, Presidential Medal of Freedom Recipient, NFL Hall of Famer, and Founder of the Page Education Foundation, along with Eric Gordon, CEO of Cleveland Metropolitan School District, will share their insight and action items to support students impacted by the Opportunity Gap. They will be joind by Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney, Superintendent of Aldine Independent School District (Texas). Additional special guests will be announced in the near future!

The event will bring together high-profile ambassadors of equality in education and subject matter experts to discuss some of the challenges in the educational ecosystem. Throughout the pandemic, schools and teachers navigated systemic challenges facing the educational ecosystem had been exasperated, including the Opportunity Gap.

During its inaugural event, KINF and its champions discussed the Achievement Gap, Digital Divide, and Student Absenteeism and how all were magnified as distance learning has become increasingly prevalent.
