Three Distinguished Musicians Perform at Chamber Music Concert Feb. 26
The Pleasantville Chamber Music Society’s third free concert of the 2016-17 season, featuring three musicians with glowing resumes, will be presented on Sunday, February 26, at 3:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, 400 Bedford Rd., Pleasantville, NY.
*Bach: sonata for violin and piano in E Major, BWV 1016
*Stravinsky: L'histoire du Soldat for violin, clarinet, and piano
*Chopin: Waltz for solo piano Op. 64 No. 2 in c-sharp minor
*Chopin: Nocturne in E Major, Op. 62-2, arranged for violin and piano by Saint-Saens
*Grieg: Sonata for violin and piano No.3 in c minor
Two of the acclaimed performers—Jesse Mills, violin, and Rieko Aizawa, piano, appeared in Pleasantville with the Howszowski Trio in 2014 in a memorable concert. The third performer, Todd Palmer, clarinet, has been nominated for three Grammy awards and has appeared with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, among many others.
