Three Distinguished Musicians Perform at Chamber Music Concert Feb. 26

The Pleasantville Chamber Music Society’s third free concert of the 2016-17 season, featuring three musicians with glowing resumes, will be presented on Sunday, February 26, at 3:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, 400 Bedford Rd., Pleasantville, NY.

The program:

*Bach: sonata for violin and piano in E Major, BWV 1016

*Stravinsky: L'histoire du Soldat for violin, clarinet, and piano

*Chopin: Waltz for solo piano Op. 64 No. 2 in c-sharp minor

*Chopin: Nocturne in E Major, Op. 62-2, arranged for violin and piano by Saint-Saens

*Grieg: Sonata for violin and piano No.3 in c minor

Two of the acclaimed performers—Jesse Mills, violin, and Rieko Aizawa, piano, appeared in Pleasantville with the Howszowski Trio in 2014 in a memorable concert. The third performer, Todd Palmer, clarinet, has been nominated for three Grammy awards and has appeared with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, among many others.

Free parking is available at the church, in nearby municipal lots, and on the street.

The Pleasantville Chamber Music Society, begun in 1976, is supported by the business and professional community and individual contributions.
