Description
Dr Mary Moran the Executive Director of Policy Cures will be presenting the session, chaired by Dr Brendan Clarke, Lecturer in History and Philosophy of Medicine at UCL. Policy Cures is an NGO providing research and analysis on the creation of new pharmaceuticals for neglected diseases (including the influential G-FINDER Survey).
Our panel includes Dr Simon Croft, Professor of Parasitology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Conrad Keating, Writer-in-Residence at the Wellcome Unit for the History of Medicine at the University of Oxford.
This will be of interest for those in the area of public health, medicine and policy. However we are aiming for a cross-disciplinary discussion and would benefit from a mixed audience. Lunch is provided!
This is part of our podcast and blog project called 'Challenging Neglect' see: www.challengingneglect.com for more information.
