By The Family Survival Trust
Overview
Hear from Emrhys Cooper (actor and film maker), Naomi Brown (Jesus Fellowship Redress Scheme) and Rachael Reign (Surviving Universal UK)
We'll be joined by experts who have used a variety of tactics to challenge cults and high-demand groups in the UK:
- Emrhys Cooper (actor and filmmaker) will share his experience of telling stories about cults (both in Coronation Street and his own work) to help increase public understanding about the dangers of these groups
- Rachael Reign (Surviving Universal UK) will describe her work using social and traditional media to reveal the truth about the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, with which she was previously involved
- Naomi Brown played a leading role in holding the Jesus Army accountable for the harm carried out in their organisation
The panel will be chaired by Dr Alexandra Stein, a social psychologist and leading expert on cults and totalitarianism.
