Join Public Knowledge in receiving representatives from five leading Latin American public interest groups to to discuss the internet’s impact on human rights in Latin America, and the challenges and opportunities faced by regional advocates.
These five groups will be providing their testimony at a thematic hearing before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, which will take place on the morning of October 28 in Washington, DC. Public Knowledge will then host a discussion with these groups and members of the public following the hearing.
The organizations include the Center for Studies on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information (CELE) at Palermo University, Derechos Digitales, Karisma Foundation, the Association for Progressive Communications (APC), the Center for Technology and Society at Getulio Vargas Foundation (CTS/FGV), and the Association for Civil Rights (ADC).
