Join us for an invigorating and rejuvenating chair yoga class outdoors at Untermyer Gardens. Our class focuses on gentle, yet comprehensive stretches and movements that progress towards more challenging poses. We'll explore a variety of seated and standing yoga poses, balances, breathing exercises, and brief meditations that train the mind and body to be stronger, more focused, and aware. By cultivating a sense of calm and reducing stress, our practice can lead to a more fulfilling and easeful life. Come join us for an uplifting and grounding yoga experience amidst the magnificent beauty of Untermyer Gardens.

Neem Dewji is the director of Yoga for Bliss, now in its 20th year. She has taught traditional yoga at various levels and now teaches therapeutic chair yoga, meditation, and stress management. "It's wonderful to have been able to create a local yoga and wellness community in Riverdale and Yonkers. In these fast, busy, and stressful times, we offer a space where people can come together with similar intention: to stop a moment to recenter and renew, and to remember their more expanded and sacred sense of Self."

***Please plan to arrive at 10:45 AM to allow for parking and getting to the Walled Garden by 11:00***

The Untermyer Gardens Conservancy is dedicated to the revitalization of Samuel Untermyer’s once great gardens, now a City municipal park in Yonkers, New York. Working with the City of Yonkers, the Conservancy will showcase exuberant horticulture in the magnificent landscape designed by Welles Bosworth in 1916. An emphasis on the lives of Samuel and Minnie Untermyer will deepen the appeal and meaning of these gardens for all people.
