Event description
The Northern California Employment Roundtable Presents a live webinar on California Family Rights Act (CFRA) Basics for Small Employers

About this event

Effective January 1, 2021, California's expanded California Family Rights Act (CFRA) now applies to small employers with as few as five employees and provides for additional categories of leave. For many employers, this year will be the first time they are required to provide certain categories of family and medical leave and will face questions about rights and obligations under the CFRA.

This program will walk small employers through their CFRA obligations, demonstrate how to coordinate CFRA leave with pregnancy disability leave, and provide resources to assist employers in complying with the law.

Panelists are:

  • Branden Butler, Deputy Director of Education at the Department of Fair Employment & Housing
  • Carla Hartley, Partner at Dillingham & Murphy, LLP
  • Susan Zeme, Attorney at Law

The moderator will be Julie Ann Giammona, Of Counsel at Ferber Law.

The program is complimentary, but attendees must register in advance.

MCLE credit pending
