Join Oklahoma Eating Disorders Association on Friday February 26th 20201 from 12:00 pm CST to 1:00 pm CST for a continuing education event with Ryanne Mitchell, MA, LPC.
Ryanne Mitchell, MA, LPC is the owner and a therapist at the Resilience Center in Tulsa, OK. Ryanne obtained her Master of Arts degree in Expressive Arts Therapy with a Specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University. Former Clinical Director and Pathway to Eating Recovery therapist at Brookhaven Hospital, Ryanne now owns and operates Resilience Center, an outpatient clinic focused on providing somatically-informed services in the treatment of eating disorders, co-morbid disorders,and other mental health concerns. Resilience Center is one of the few providers in Tulsa with an intentional focus on serving the LGBTQIA+, kink, non-monogamous, and neurodivergent communities.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees will:
1. Increase gender literacy and understanding of the intersections between EDs, gender identity/expression, and multiple marginalizations.
2. Learn how to better serve the needs of trans communities through modifying their therapeutic approaches.
3. Learn strategies for creating an accessible and inclusive treatment environment.
